Reports show incorrect information

When I run the Inventory Profitability report that comes predefined in the Reports menu, the numbers don't reflect the reality of our sales.  On other reports that I create myself, everytime I click refresh without changing anything else, I get totally different numbers!  What gives?  This is incredibly frustrating because it totally destroys my trust in what ANY report is displaying. Netsuite, this is a major issue!
