Saved Custom Record Search That Compares Employee List To Event

I have a custom record that we use for document control.  In that custom record, I have a multiple select of employees.  We select which employees are responsible for being familiar with that document.  I associated Events with the custom record in order to record who was at a training when we went over the specific document.  I am trying to created a saved search that will show who has not received training for a specific document (i.e. who is listed as a employee in the custom record but is not listed as an attendee in a linked event).  Does
