Forecast with month column past DEC 2010?

When looking at the forecast by item report we get correct totals (it's filtered to 'sales order' transactions only-- essentially, this report shows how much will be billed when, based on exisitng sales orders.

The problem is:
We have sales orders that span until 2013-2014 (long term hosting contracts etc). Our goal is to look at what will be invoiced in what period, however, when adding a period column the system won't display any periods after DEC 2010...

How can I get the system to display all periods going forward?
