Quarter Function in Saved Searches

When I use the quarter function in saved searches the results are in the following format (for Q1): YYYY-Q1. Where as when I run a report and use a quarter field I get results in the format YYYY-1.
Does anyone know how to either drop the "Q" in the saved search or add it to the report results? I combine the results from a report and a saved search in excel and would like consistent data.
