Income Statement with Departments and Accounts Excluding Subdepartments

edited Jan 3, 2020 12:29AM in Search / Reporting 3 comments

We have set up Departments and Subdepartments.  Our structure looks like:

Operations
Operations:SOC
Operations:ASC
Marketing
Marketing:Channel
Marketing:Direct

So when the financial report writer is used the Income Statement reports we have show:
Department
-Subdepartment
--Account

This is great and exactly what we wanted...However we also want to be able to have the report writer show all the accounts grouped by Parent department.  So in the example of Operations above all expenses booked to Operations:SOC and Operations:ASC would be shown rolled up to their parent department Operations.

Is this possible with the financial report writer in Netsuite or am I going to have to export everything or use our external report system?
