Exposing Report to Customer Portal

Hello all,

I'm trying to expose a report to a single customer in their customer portal.  I created a custom roles (based on Customer Center) and assigned that role to the user AND the report. 

Once logged in, I tried accessing the report directly (via link) and got the following error.

Permission Violation: You need the 'Reporting -> Sales' permission to access this page. Please contact your account administrator.

I don't see anyway to ADD that permission to the role. 

Am I going at this the wrong way?
