Best way to determine Profit Margin per Sales Rep for comission
I pay my sales reps performance based bonuses based on what profit margin they sold at that month, and how much gross profit they produced.
What is the most accurate way to determine a sales-rep's profit margin?
Does anyone take it further than just making a saved search that averages the "gross profit percent" from all their invoice/cash sale transactions?
Does anyone take shipping amount charged vs shipping cost into consideration for their sales-reps' comission calculations? or inbound shipping?
Does anyone take paypal fees and credit card fees into account in this reporting?
I guess im just looking for the most effective way to pay commission based off of profit produced.
