First & Last order date for an item?

We need a report, which lists all the items purchased last week - and within the report we also need to show the first and last date this item was purchased.

We can do this is two separate reports, but haven't yet figured out how to do it in a single report.

If we're looking only at last week, then this criteria omits any transactional history prior to that, and if we return all the sales, then we don't seem to be limit the results to just last weeks.

Tried doing this with a Summary, but not getting any useful results.
