Format Number in Saved Search

Hi all,

I have a saved search with several formula columns. Some of these return numeric (or currency) values and I need these numbers to formatted like "1,000,000.00". I have tried everything I could think of. I tried setting the preferences for the user (Home > Set Preferences > Formatting), I tried using to_number() and to_char() formulas as well.

I was able to to use to_char() passing the correct format, but I cannot apply a SUM "Summary Type" when grouping.

Any ideas?
