Deleting a custom field breaks reports

Hello there

I deleted a long defunct custom field on a customer record. It turns out that this field was a filter in a report. Now the report won't run, nor can it be edited and fixed. This is silly.

In other news here is a picture of a cat wearing sunglasses and using a piece of lettuce as a hat. I'm sure you'll agree, it's hilarious.
