Wild Card Characters in Filter

I want to be able to filter for all item numbers in our universe that begin with 815-.  Our item number convention is xxx-xxxx-xx.  I want to see anything that begins with 815-.  Searching for this is easy, but adding the part numbers one by one in a report filter is tedious.  Will wild card characters work?
