Web Query (.iqy) - How does the security work?

We're looking at outputting reports for clients using the web query (.iqy) export functionality.  Looks like the email address of the user who creates the file needs to be included in the excel doc.  How does the security work to prevent the user from looking at any other data or reports in Netsuite when opening the excel file.
