Budget vs Actual report - by department - but only by total in department

edited Jan 3, 2020 12:26AM in Search / Reporting

Hi,

We are trying to customize the budget vs actual report so that it displays by department, but only by the total in the department.

Currently the only way we can get the data to display by department creates a huge report with data showing twice.

We have a department called “Customer Success : Onboarding”, when viewing this department in the report, the values for this department are the same as the columns in the 'Total' section. Since we are only using one sub-department for budget is it possible to only show the total of the department? We don’t book anything to the first level department but we don’t see an option to make it a “summary” type department the way we can with a G/L account.

Howdy, Stranger!
