Field Lengths...Anyone know?

What's up all,
  Does anyone know where I can find the field lengths for each of the customer fields?
Please don't say the help doc in the Web Services area...Cause that can't be right...Email only allows for 25 characters...That is totally wrong...Seeing how my email address is 30 chars and I can update it just fine.

Some of the field lengths in the doc are correct (phone, fax), but I just want to get them correct...I am getting a lot of max length errors..
