Disable Mandatory Custom Field Validation
how does "Disable Mandatory Custom Field Validation" under Web Services preferences work? i tried making a custom field mandatory at the field level, and not mandatory at the form level, and NS throws me an error telling me i need to specify a value for that field when i try to add a new record of that type using web services. i also tried making the field not mandatory at the field level, and making it mandatory at the form level. in both instances, "Disable Mandatory Custom Field Validation" was checked.
my goal is to be able to bypass having to specify custom fields that are mandatory in the UI, when using web services. has anyone had any luck with that?
