Underlying Connection Closed/other strange WS errors

has anyone ever gotten a "the underlying connection was closed" error when working with the .NET platform? i get that sometimes, and i haven't seen anyone mention it yet in the user group, which i find strange.

i got a really weird error today when executing an add operation (nothing wrong with my code, btw, since it ran fine all the other times i tried it, using the exact same data):

Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=iso-8859-1', but expected 'text/xml'.
The request failed with the error message:
