Web Services with PHP seems slow?

Hello everyone,

Does anyone else notice that when doing login and request with web services via php it's a little slow?  I've noticed that it takes awhile (10-15 secs) to even login and then to process takes another while.  I'm using nusoap to make my connection.  Anyone else experiencing anything similar?
