Historical data for cash sales / customer orders

Would anyone have a suggestion on how to use web services to import sales orders created prior to the implementation of NetSuite?

We understand how to use web services to write the sales order into NetSuite.

We are trying to figure out how to import orders without effecting the General Ledger / Accounts Receivable Ledger. All we want is a record of the transaction without the GL / AR impact.

Would anyone have any suggestions?
