Point of Sale (POS) Integration Deployed - Feedback
Suite Software is a NetSuite integrator and we recently deployed a web services-based integration with a fully functional, stand-alone POS front-end system (QBPOS), for one of our clients. The integration supports various types of transactions coming from the POS system (sales, returns etc) into NS and NS is the Item master that keeps the POS system updated WRT inventory.
Various Payment types can be taken at the POS terminal, including mixed-payment types (say CC+Cash+Check). Credit cards are charged at the POS terminal (with card swipe) and then the integration inserts the sale + payment into NS with the "Credit Card Approved" flag set to Yes, since the CC payment has already been collected at the terminal.
