Search custom records C#
Hi,
Just started using web services today and although I've managed to achieve some tasks I've stuck on searching custom records.
I have a custom record type and want to find all records that are children of a particular customer. I'm not getting very far and only have this at the moment.
//Search CustomRecordSearch _customRecordSearch = new CustomRecordSearch(); RecordRef _recordRef = new RecordRef(); _recordRef.type = RecordType.customRecord; _recordRef.internalId = "6"; _customRecordSearch.basic.recType = _recordRef; SearchResult result = _service.search(_customRecordSearch);
At the moment i get a null reference exception on "_customRecordSearch.basic.recType = _recordRef;" for _recordRef. But i also think i'm going about this in the wrong manner.
