getSelectValue error

We're running a getSelectValue() operation for customer_salesRep. It returns an error with code INSUFFICENT_PERMISSION with the error message "You don't have permissions to set a value for element salesRep due to one of the following reasons...".

We're using the default administrator role. This has to be a bug, right?
