Outward Bound Single Sign On Design?

Hello

I am integrating pages from an external server into Netsuite. I don't want the user to have to enter their details again - if they have authenticated against Netsuite then I am happy to give them access to the external server under a pre-agreed username they are unaware of.

Users may view information on the external server in an IFRAME supplied by a suitelet and I want this information to be shown without entering user details again.

I know only inward bound single sign on is currently supported so I am contemplating rolling my own outward bound single sign on...
