Updating addresses with same internal IDs

Hi,

I've read a similar forum posting elsewhere, but it hasn't solved my problem.

I need to be able to update an address in a customer record without changing its internal ID.

If I run this code:

 Dim theRef As New RecordRef          theRef.internalId = 146          theRef.type = RecordType.customer          theRef.typeSpecified = True            Dim oldCustomer As Customer = ns.get(theRef).record          Dim newCustomer As Customer = New Customer          newCustomer.internalId = oldCustomer.internalId          newCustomer.addressbookList = oldCustomer.addressbookList          newCustomer.addressbookList.replaceAll = False          Dim theWriteResponse As WriteResponse = ns.update(newCustomer)


...every address in the customer's record is assigned a new internal ID.

How can I update the address list and maintain the existing internal IDs?
