CommonName for nlapiRequest to call web service

I am trying to make a web service call using Suitelet.

I need to make an HTTPS POST with a valid trusted client certificate - verisign or godaddy. How can I get the public key (.cer file) of the certificate for client authentication or is there any place where I can get to it.
Can anyone please guide me on this?
