How to do UPS integration?

Hi friends,
I am using PHP toolkit for webservices,

I need to do UPS integration so that i can calculate shipping indepently before adding a sales order and also also i need to know the unique tracking id of shipment from UPS.

I am a total novice on UPS, any suggestions / docs to read on- cannt find the info on NS help files,
