Failure on Sales Order Upload

I'm trying to programmatically upload Sales Orders in C#, but the uploads fail w/ the message "[Code=TRANS_UNBALNCD] Transaction was not in balance. Total = 7.1"

All of my TotalSpecified, TaxTotalSpecified, SubTotalSpecified fields and the like are set to false. I set the tax rate, tax item, quantity, and NetSuite performs the calculations I assume automatically on upload, but I get this error instead. I was not receiving this error until recently.
