Creating customer - php toolkit

We're starting to implement suitetalk for creating our new customers, however we're not getting off to a good start...

Mainly:

I've read here that people have it working without a problem - please share your solutions.

Edit: that's what happens when you start the day without coffee - you pick a development server that doesn't have php built with SSL enabled.
