Formulatext in saved search

I am accessing a saved search via CustomRecordSearchAdvanced, however one of the results fields is a formulatext, so it is not an actual field in the custom record.  Can I access that via webservices?  I've tried using SearchColumnStringCustomField as the nsComplexObject and setting the internalId to "formulatext", but the SOAP comes back with "formulatext is not a valid search custom field".
