Create Averages to Calc Avg Rev per Sub

I am trying to develop a KPI that takes my revenue and avg subs for a period to create a metric called Avg Revenue per Sub.

I can't seem to figure out how to average two (or multi) periods (This period and Last period) to create the average number of subscribers.    I am using the posting period but can seem to find the right name so that is can show the two or multi period.  i.e. Avg Rev/Sub for May 2012 or Avg Rev/ Sub for May YTD.
