Customization of Dashboard

Does anyone know if there is a way to move sections of the dashboard that appear under the LEAD tab over to the main dashboard? I'd like to view the "Leads" box that appears specifically under that tab right on the main home screen. Also, how can I add fields to the lists that already appear on the dashboard?
