KPI-sales order figure need report permission now

We used to have "my sales orders this month VS last month to date" in sales persons "KPI".
From last Friday, it doesn't work anymore.
It says you need permission "report-sales order report".
If I grant this report permission to the sales role, they can view all sales order report including other people's sales figure. I definitely don't want this happen.
Now they are argue to have this KPI back to work.
What shall I do?
