Balance Sheet KPIs on Dashboard Portlets

I'm trying to show the balance of certain balance sheets accounts to display like the "Bank Accounts" on the scorecard and like the "Total Bank Balance" on a KPI portlet with amounts displaying for various periods defined in the portlets.

Would also like to be able to drill into the detail of these amounts from the dashboard portlets similar to how the bank balance works.

Does anyone have a solution for this?
