Purpose of "Sales Role" Field in Roles
Can someone please accurately explain in detail with examples the purpose and effect of the Sales Role field located on the top main section of the Customize Role form?
Here's what the Help field says, but it's still very unclear to me:
If you set restrictions in the Employee Restrictions field, check this box if employees using this role should be restricted based on the Sales Rep field on records and transactions.
The NetSuite Technician said that IF the Employee Restrictions field was set to "none" then the Sales Role field had NO effect whatsoever.
