Splitting sales for forecasting purposes
I would like to start using NS's forecasting function, however due to the way our business runs I'm not sure if it's possible to do this.
Currently, our customers pay 50% of the estimate up front, then after install they pay the remaining 50%. We've been using the sales order fullfillment function, and just invoice 50% as needed, however this doesn't allow us to properly forecast when we expect a prospect to close the sale, and once they're a customer, when the remaining 50% is expected to come in. I'm only able to create estimates and the close date is when the entire estimate amount is projected. Can anyone kindly give me some suggestions? We would like to avoid having to use an outside application for
