Splitting sales for forecasting purposes
I would like to start using NS's forecasting function, however due to the way our business runs I'm not sure if it's possible to do this.
Currently, our customers pay 50% of the estimate up front, then after install they pay the remaining 50%. We've been using the sales order fullfillment function, and just invoice 50% as needed, however this doesn't allow us to properly forecast when we expect a prospect to close the sale, and once they're a customer, when the remaining 50% is expected to come in. I'm only able to create estimates and the close date is when the entire estimate amount is projected. Can anyone kindly give me some suggestions?
