Sales through Partner - How to track by customer
We are entering into a new partner relationship where we will be selling products and services though the partner to customers. We will also have ongoing consulting and product relationships with these customers directly and need to attach the sold product to a customer record.
What's the best way of setting this up? Is this a parent/child situation? When a parent/child relationship has been created can some transactions occur for the child that do not flow up to the parent?
Or do we just create a new billing address on the customer record for the partner and track A/R by billing address in some way?
