"Sales" tab hangs

In a company (customer/lead/prospect) view, when any of our Sales users clicks on the sales tab, a "loading ..." message appears and the page simply hangs.

This might be something to do with the permissions at the sales level, where they do not have access to "transactions" for example.  Will the page be trying to auto-load something that is restricted, and therefore hang?

We have no need for our sales guys to use "transactions" but the other infor e.g. "opportunities" will be needed.

What should I do?
