Team Selling - HELP!!! What will happen if we uncheck this?

Our business is halted because we enabled Team Selling last night.
Without realizing it, we apparently have custom code / script that requires the system to have a valid sales rep (salesrep) on the order BEFORE it will save.

And of course, we can't get a hold of our code guy to make the update change to salesgroup/salesteam ...

Anyone ... What will help if we uncheck this box? Will the Sales Rep assignments for customers that we had before go back to the way they were prior to enabling this feature?

PLEASE HELP....(and the sooner the better!)
