Changing the Opportunity Close Date

We have a couple opportunities that were missed and got closed in the wrong periods (too far after they should have been closed).

I asked NS if this was a field we could get at to make a change and they logged an enhancement as it is not.

I would like to know if it is possible to make this change via some other method (web services?) for just these two opportunities that we have the issue with.

These are really messing up our trends and other metrics.
