Offline Client Error - Parentheses Unbalanced

Hi,

One of our users is having problems using the offline client.  He cannot get past clicking on “Set up offline client”.  At this point an error message comes up that says 'Search error: Parentheses are unbalanced.'.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do to fix this?
