Ask for Promo Code Earlier in Cart

We're seeing Cart Abandonment rates begin to rise. I'd like to help curb this by offering the customer the ability to enter the Promo Code early on in the shopping cart (perhaps the first page). Currently we are setup so that the promo code is on the very last page of the cart (Review & Submit).

Does anyone know how to capture the Promo Code earlier in the cart process? Or perhaps can we capture the text and auto-fill it in the Promo Code box on the last page, still requiring the user to press the Apply button?
