Stop Sales Person from seeing transactions

Hello,

I have a sales person (the is the role).  I want them to see every record (lead, prospect) regardless of whether or not they are assigned as the sales rep on that record.  I only want them to see transactions on records they are assigned to.  I tried clicking the Restrict by Transaction Sales Rep Only`button but it does not seem to be doing the trick.  They are not assigned on the customer or the sales order.

Any help would be appreciated.
