Cash Sales Item Entry acting differently all of a sudden

We use Cash Sales for our retail operation. We bar-code scan our products to streamline the check out process for our customers. In the past, this barcode scanning would enter the item number, a quantity of 1 and proceed to the next line in the cash sale.

Last week, the function changed. Now, when we bar-code scan our products, the system pops up a dialogue that says "Please choose an item to add" and waits until we hit OK, then tab to enter the quantity and enter to go to the next line.

Was a change made in the way Netsuite performs? We did not make any changes in our programming or scripts that would cause this type of anomaly.
