How to prevent duplicate customers while taking new orders
There are times that we enter new customers when taking an order, and those customer have ordered before so duplicates are created.
We used a system before Netsuite called Everest by Icode where we could select the fields to check for duplicates so while entering the new customer information if the data is a duplicate, the field will light up to show that a duplicate exists.
So for example if I select the email field as a field to check for duplicates, after I enter the email address and I go to the next field, Netsuite will check to see if an email address already exists in the system and if true will display something or highlight the field or something.
