Custom Rate field
Background: Internet advertising company that sells web ad spaces by web page impressions measured by CPM i.e. cost per Thousand. For instance, the charge for a Banner might be £50 per CPM i.e. £50 per 1,000 page impressions. Objective as follows: To have a custom Rate field so that when raising sales invoices to customers, users can input the CPM against the relevant Netsuite item (non inventory), which is passed into the normal Netsuite rate field as CPM / 1000 (for the above example, the rate will be automatically calculated as £0.05
I have set up a custom field, which is shown in the Columns tab, but I am at a loss as to how to pass the converted CPM rate to the normal rate field. Does this require scripting, or workflow?
