Last Message Date - should it only record customer messages?
That's what it appears to be doing for us. If a customer calls in and our support rep enters a message to log that phone conversation, Last Message Date is not populated. If the customer then responds to a message the rep sent them, the field populates with the timestamp from when that message was received.
I haven't done extensive testing to see a trend other than this, but it does appear not to log outbound or "internal only" messages, just those messages that come in. This is in contrast to what the help window says when you click on the field label.
