New Project Field on Sales Orders

We implemented ERP with advanced project as the beginning of the year. We have Customer/Project field in the main region of the sales order form. Recently, not sure exactly since I am not in the account everyday, a new field appeared on the form for Project? We can actually select Acme : Server Installation as our client/project and then select an entirely different project in the project field?

Also, we cannot find the new Project field on the custom or standard sales order forms, so we cannot turn it off?

Anyone else seeing this behavior?
