NVL function not working on custom CRM field
I created a new decimal field (Days Open) and applied it cases. The goal is to have it count the number of days between today and the day it was created (if it's still open) or count the number of days between the end date and created date (if it's closed).
This is the function I'm using in the Default Value:
ROUND(nvl({enddate},{today})-{createddate},2)
It works as it should if the case is already closed, but I get an invalid expression if the case is still open.
Am I incorrectly using this formula, or is this a bug??
