Contacts Automatically Inactivated When Customer is Inactivated
Maybe I missed an update somewhere, but I was very surprised to learn that when I inactivated a customer, all the associated contacts were also inactivated. NetSuite definitely didn't use to do this.
It is very obnoxious when I need to duplicate a customer and inactivate the old one (e.g., legal name change). Then all my contacts disappear from the original customer as well as the 'Save As' customer. Without a bunch of digging, I can't tell who the old contacts were.
Is this really the way NetSuite is supposed to work?
