Customer list of sales one year over the other

Looking for a way to list all customers for a sales rep, and a column for their 2013 sales, and a column for their 2014 ytd sales. Sales would be the subtotals of their invoices, without tax and shipping.

A transaction saved search won't do this because if the customer doesn't have transactions that customer won't be listed. I want all customers assigned to a sales rep listed.

Seems like if I do a customer saved search, I should be able to get this data. I'm struggling with the formulas to get those sales columns.
