What makes a quote / estimate CLOSE

Hello All,

I have a few reports and each year I keep seeing old quotes (some from 2007 still).  I am trying to understand why some are not on this list and why some are.

So I will start with what I hope is a basic question:

How does Netsuite determine that an estimate is CLOSED and no longer accounts for it as an OPEN estimate / quote?
